Noah and the whale concert!
Noah and the Whale rocked the boat! I went on saturday the 29th of October to Cardiff uni student great hall (i think that's the name?!) . All in all it wasn't hard to find, and we were early! The ticket was true to what it said, the doors opened on time, although i was stood outside for 1/2 and hour or so ( that's what you get for being early!). This was the first time that i had been to Cardiff Uni for a concert, i was quite impressed. The ticket cost £15.00 but i was charged booking fee by ticketmaster which then boosted the price to £16.50.
Unreserved standing in my opinion is always the best. Although it was a concert i felt as though people respected each others personal space which was a new experience for me. The support act played for nearly an hour but unfortunately didn't introduce themselves very well, i asked numerous people who they were but no one seemed to know. They were ok, but their singing was drowned by the music. So the support act started around 8.15 and played until 9ish, the organisers then played recorded music to entertain us while Noah and the Whale prepared to come on, this went on for about 1/2 and hour by now it was around 9.35 when Noah and the Whale finally arrived on stage. They played amazingly and really got the crowd entertained. The concert then came to an end around 11.00 and everyone was pretty fast leaving.
The drinks situation was a bit of a weird setup, if you were over 18 they gave you a band, which ment that you didn't have to show your ID every time you went to the bar, although the bar for alcohol and soft drinks where apart. Most of the alcoholic drinks came in plastic bottles whereas the soft drinks came in plastic cups ( not the best idea ever!). All in all it was a pretty awsome night, i'd definetly book again.
So i'm hoping i've covered everything and if not feel free to leave a comment below.
